Size: Wingspan is 1 3/4 to 2 3/8 inches.

Similar Species: Hoary Edge

Abundance: Very common statewide.

Flight Period: Flies from early April until late October in several broods.


Comments: The upper two photos the skipper is on Queen Anne's Lace, Daucus carota were taken in Durham Co., NC on July 17, 2004.
