Size: Wingspan is 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 inches.

Similar Species:
Zabulon Skipper

(female) Clouded Skipper

Habitat: Powerline clearings, dry brushy fields, grassy fields, roadsides and gardens.

Abundance: Uncommon to fairly common in the piedmont and sandhills. Uncommon to rare in coastal areas and the mountains.

Flight Period: Flies from mid April until early June a bit later in the mountains.

Comments:
Notice the whitish eye brows that`s a good way to tell it from the more common Clouded Skipper.
