Size:
Wingspan is 1 to 1 3/8 inches.

Similar Species:
Zabulon Skipper (female)
Dusted Skipper (spring)

Habitat:
Wet areas, grassy fields, roadsides and gardens.

Abundance:
Common through out the state, more common coastal areas. Very common in the fall.

Flight Period:
The first brood Flies from early April until mid June and the second brood from mid July until October.

Comments:
This skipper is a very early riser it it is likely the first skipper you will see in the morning.
