Habitat: Along woodland edges and openings in sandy areas in the coastal plain and sandhills.

Flight Period: Spring

Comments: They can be seen by the hundreds in early spring. I took these photos in early April 1999 at Weymouth Woods in Moore County.

The photo below was taken at the Sandhills Gamelands on April 5, 2000.
