Black-shouldered Spinyleg, Dromogomphus spinosus

Size: 2.5 inches.

Habitat: Streams, rivers, ponds or lakes with rocky shores. Along woodland edges and openings.

Flight Period: May - October

Comments: This species as you can see has an extremely long femur on the hind legs with spines hence the name spinyleg.
