# 10711 Black Swallowtail Sub Family: Papilioninae Here is a pair of Black Swallowtails mating. The female had just emerged and the male flew in and mated with her before she could fly. In back of them is another male that had just emerged. This is a very suburban species and is adaptive to urban environments and is very widespread.
