Black Racer (Coluber constrictor) Eating a good sized Bullfrog it caught in my pond. I saw it going across my lawn with it's head up high so not to drag the Bullfrog. While taking photos it repeatedly shook its tail in the leaves to mimic a rattlesnake. Black Racer (Coluber constrictor) Eating a good sized Bullfrog it caught in my pond. Black Racers are usually hard to photograph, this one had just caught a Bullfrog.
It shook it's tail to mimic a rattlesnake repeatedly to try to scare me off.
This display was quite aggressive and convincing.
