Similar Species:
West Virginia White
Clouded/Orange Sulphur white females

Habitat: Open country, fields, gardens just about anywhere.

Abundance: Common to very common statewide.

Flight Period: Flies from late February until mid November.

Comments:
The top photo was taken in Bedford Co., VA on July 13, 2002.The center photo was taken in the Caswell Gamelands at the wildlife pond in Caswell Co., NC on June 12, 2004. The bottom photo was taken in a back yard in San Francisco CA on July 2, 2002.
