Meadow Fritillary, Size: Wingspan is 1 1/4 to 1 7/8 inches. Similar Species:
Habitat: Open fields, meadows, and roadsides in the mountains mainly. Sometimes found in the foothills.. Abundance: Fairly common in the northern mountains and uncommon in the central and southern mountains. Flight Period: Flies from April until September. With gaps in between 3 broods. Comments:
