These tiny 1/4 inch bugs hop like tiny toads.
They tend to get covered in mud and sand and blend into thir enviroment very well. As you can see
they attack and eat other bugs like this small fly as shown in the third and fourth photos.
I found them by the hundreds on a large sand bar.
