All Photos taken at Bill & Tish McCormick`s feeder at Sunset
Beach, NC on December 22, 2000
Tea is the name Mary Mc Davit calls her neighbors little winter visitor.
Here Tea is visiting the larger feeder at the McCormick`s back porch. I drove a total of 450 miles round trip to get photos of this rare western hummingbird! Meeting Mary and Bill was a real treat, wish I`d had more time to hang around at Sunset Lakes. I also lucked out in finding 4 Double Crested Cormorants perched on some kind of floats at East Lake while I was there.
The photos below are perched shots taken from a distance with my 100-400 IS zoom lens and a 2x teleconvertor. |
